LumApps Shakes Up Google Next 2019

It was the best of times: we had a great time at Google Next ‘19 this year! Find out what happened, what you missed and whether we won anything. If you’d rather just watch a video, that’s also an option (we’re not judging).

Last year, we went hard with a brand new American team and rocked Google Next 18.

This year we brought even more new talents with us, creating a global LumApps team from offices in Austin, New York, San Francisco, Paris and Lyon.

Among those who joined us this year, let us highlight leaders Rob Ryan, Mike Beeson, Frank Pathyil, Idriss Bentoumi and Daniel Berg from the Sales Engineering team.

This year, we co-hosted not one, but three different Happy Hours with our partners!

Let’s just say our team worked some long hours… We’re all about building strong work relationships so our days didn’t just end with NEXT sessions.

We sent LumAppsers to network on April 9 with Agosto at the Dirty Habit and with Onix for a cruise in the Bay (!!) – then on April 10 with Sada Systems at the Twenty Five Lusk.

Finalist for Global Technology Partner of the Year 2019

We had high hopes to come back winners from NEXT ‘19, as we had in 2017 when we won the Global Partner Award for Solution Innovation.

This year, we’re proud to be finalists for the Global Technology Partner of the Year, alongside such giants as Fastly, Intel and Palo Alto Networks.

In fact, LumApps is the only partner from the Cloud Software category!

As they say, it truly is an honor just to be nominated…

This year’s NEXT was full of exciting moments for us. Relive these highlights with us!

LumApps customers on stage

For our spotlight session on April 9, we welcomed onstage a couple of speakers from our prized customers Veolia and Colgate-Palmolive, Lucy Luo and Tommathew Thomas respectively. To provide some context, Rob Ryan US Sales Engineer Director and Frank Pathyil, VP Customer Success Americas, joined the conversation.

They shared their experience with LumApps and showed how their social intranet was able to connect thousands of employees, bringing together a widespread workforce in a unique digital workplace. We thank them for this fantastic session sharing successful LumApps use cases!

Still on April 9, our CTO Elie Mélois joined the session with our partner Onix “Enriching Metadata and Taxonomy to Improve Enterprise Search.” It was the perfect occasion to showcase how our Google Cloud Search integration inside the social intranet helps enterprises find information easily and heightens the digital workplace experience.

If you were one of the lucky few, perhaps you remember our exclusive breakfast launch on April 10! We chose this early hour to officially announce the launch of our new solution LumApps Employee Social Advocacy. Our Product Leader Idriss Bentoumi provided the first public demo of the solution and our team was there to answer questions about this new offering.
