After several months of work, we can finally present our new LumApps.com website, designed in accordance with our values. With its new minimalist design, it provides a smoother and cleaner experience for users. Its redesigned interface and the new visual identity allow better ergonomics of the site, thus offering simplified access to information.

2022: The year of acceleration at all levels

Like any company, and more specifically any marketing team, the main challenge of this redesign was to improve the user journey to simplify the experience of our visitors. To do this, we have decided to use our own best practices by putting users at the heart of our strategy and by bringing new features adapted to the different personas of LumApps.

The structure of the site has been completely redesigned to match user needs and habits, offering a smoother experience, and thus having a positive impact on the bounce rate, and improving the time spent on the site, and the conversion rate. To achieve this, we made the choice to change the content management system, moving from Wordpress to Acquia, a content management software, allowing more alternatives in terms of layout. One of the main priorities for LumApps was also to maintain its exceptional ranking on Google and to exceed its limits in the short/medium term.

A new visual entity to reflect internal LumApps changes

In barely a year, LumApps has grown from 150 to more than 300 employees, made two acquisitions, integrating into its platform two new products essential to its leadership position in the Employee Experience market. LumApps also received awards and accolades from analysts and partners for its technology and the quality of LumApps features and service, which deserved to be better reflected on the brand's showcase: the website.

In order to optimize access to information, optimizing traffic through SEO had to be accompanied by a new design facilitating navigation. The main objectives of this new visual identity were to highlight the values of LumApps, by being bold #BeBoldDoAmazingThings, while differentiating itself from players in the tech and HR ecosystem, often in shades of blue and gray, thanks to impactful colors and visuals.

The design teams chose a clean design, allowing to limit the number of elements on the pages, and thus to avoid the conflict between the different call-to-action buttons and opted for a more digestible site for the user, thus avoiding infobesity that can cause confusion for the browser. The new visual identity also involved changes in the graphic charter evoking the history of LumApps.

A new design in our image

  • New colors: blue colors give way to colors that reflect dynamism and sharing. A dominant beige colour, supported by a palette featuring bold shades of yellow, chosen to represent the brand values, inspired by the logo.
  • A new font: light and bold styles that are more expressive and convey a range of emotions, from delicate to stern.
  • New Icons and Images: New visuals and more employee-centric images. Thanks to the intervention of a photographer, new photos have been added to our image banks, warm and realistic photos, thanks to the Lumies who posed.

Efforts made and challenges to be met

The two main challenges were firstly to make every effort to meet the needs and expectations of the LumApps teams as much as possible, but also of all users from a more general point of view. As an international company, LumApps must adapt to all markets through choices in terms of structure, design but also in terms of the themes put forward. The second challenge was technical, moving from the Wordpress platform to Drupal (Acquia), while maintaining an advanced level of optimization. The teams also had to adapt to this new content software

— says Antoine Pourron, Website and SEO Manager of LumApps

A project in line with the values of LumApps

All the values of LumApps have been highlighted during this site redesign project and in particular around "One Team, Same Mission". Indeed, thanks to the comments and feedback from the Lumies, the design teams and the marketing teams in charge of the redesign were guided in their choices.

The LumApps website is the showcase of our work and our leadership position in the Employee Experience market. That's why we decided to carry out a redesign work to make the user experience smoother. We succeeded in embodying all our values during this project: we brought together all the teams around the same objective (one team, same mission), we were bold in moving away from what was done the most (be bold , do amazing things) and we have made every effort to offer the best possible user experience (say what you mean, do what you say), and we are very proud of that!

— says Sébastien Ricard, CEO of LumApps
