LumApps Debuts Expanded Integration with Microsoft To Deepen Security and Compliance
LumApps previews new features to give enterprises more control over user access.
Today, Microsoft announced new Conditional Access authentication context settings that will become available to customers of the company’s identity access and management solutions in the near future.
LumApps — which was recognized as a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Intranet Platforms report — announces new support for these new features.
The results aim to give joint enterprise customers greater control and flexibility around employee access. Leveraging the integration, customers can set:
- Location Requirements, limiting access to LumApps to on-site company networks or specific office, retail or warehouse locations;
- Device Restrictions, ensuring access is only granted to approved or specific devices; and
- File Access Rules, requiring the user to meet a higher authentication bar to access certain documents that might contain confidential, sensitive or other information.

The new features, which will be made available to customers of LumApps’ Enterprise package later this year, are configurable to specific organizational needs. A large retailer or manufacturer could set working hour limitations to comply with union labor requirements, for example,
The integration adds to a long list of innovations since LumApps first announced a collaboration with Microsoft back in 2018. Following early integrations with Microsoft Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 applications including Microsoft Teams and Yammer in 2019, LumApps debuted new support for Microsoft Search through Microsoft Graph last year. The new support for Conditional Access settings make LumApps-powered digital workplaces even more powerful.
“Having best-in-class security and compliance is a prerequisite for every enterprise globally, and we’re proud to enable that in the digital workplace for customers that leverage Microsoft for identity access and management,”
