LumApps Was Here: Touring the Americas with Google

Mexico City

Mexico City

Last month, our General Manager Jeb Seder was touring the United States and Mexico with Google. After stopping by the Cloud Meetup in Sunnyvale, California on May 3, his next major trip was to Toronto’s Google Meetup on May 9, then Google’s Partner Summit in Mexico City on May 17. In our humble opinion, the Land of Opportunity lives up to its name.

Toronto GCC Meetup

Toronto saw dozens of attendees. Joined by Account Manager Florian Delille, Jeb had many positive exchanges with Canadian players including the Toronto Montreal Stock Exchange (TMX).

In fact, TMX were so convinced after a session with us that LumApps deployment is currently underway at their work locations.

Also at the Toronto GCC, Jeb and Florian met with fellow Google Partner Longbeard, a leader in tech and design business for non-profit organizations, including the Vatican. After partnering with us, Longbeard is heading deployment of the LumApps intranet to the Capuchins, a small monastery in New York state.

Such diversity in IT partners and clients reaffirms that LumApps can adapt to all types of organizations. What’s more, considering the country’s specific economic and cultural history, Canadian companies are particularly appreciative of the fact that LumApps is bilingual in French and English.

Mexico Partner Summit

A week after Toronto, Jeb flew to the rarefied air of Mexico City for the Google Partner Summit.

Turnout was fantastic; in fact, the event’s success was such that the setting could barely contain everyone! Over a hundred partners actively participated, with a dozen Googlers milling about, from the US and Mexico alike.

The after-event party was equally well-attended with plenty of good vibes, as people were motivated to stay late and mingle.

Mexico is home to several major Google Partners and all were very eager to learn more from Technical Partners and ISVs such as LumApps.

Jeb met with teams from Xertica, eSource Capital and Orion. Exchanging with these major players led to new contacts with a few Country Managers, confirming major opportunities in Central America. Our partner Xertica was a strong show, coming with a delegation of 30 people! A large distributor especially active in Mexico and South America, they serve multinational clients with headquarters in the Americas, along with many SMBs across the American continent, of which many are eager for new cloud solutions.

Sunny prospects in the Americas

Jeb was busy paving the way for our new major markets in the Americas, just in time for our growing American team! More than just the United States becoming our number one market, we at LumApps wish to grow hand-in-hand with economically emerging countries, all across the continent.

Promising new fields of action in the Americas, multiple positive contacts at these Google events indicate that stakeholders in many different sectors are searching for a new intranet solution.
