Draw.io is our latest integration in the LumApps intranet platform. Here’s why we decided to integrate the tool, more about our new partnership and the benefits for end users.
What is draw.io?
draw.io is a free tool for diagramming, available online, with around 2 million unique users per month. As a G Suite integration, it has already convinced over 50,000 G Suite domains each month to use draw.io for their diagramming needs. You can find draw.io in the G Suite marketplace.
Users can easily create all types of diagrams, thanks to a large range of templates and thousands of high quality vector shapes. Here are some examples: flowcharts, BPMN diagrams, UML diagrams, mind maps and tree diagrams, network diagrams, architectural and circuit board layouts, wireframes and mockups.
This integration is really simple to use. You have a dedicated content picker to choose a draw.io file from your Drive. Then, the diagram is displayed wherever you want in a LumApps page.
Using draw.io in Google Drive has several advantages:
- Everything is stored in Google Drive, so no need to trust a third-party app with your data
- Draw.io is open source, plus offers free desktop versions for Windows, MacOS and Linux.
- All your existing backup of Drive files will include all draw.io files
- draw.io is styled to look and feel like a native G Suite application.
Our partnership with draw.io
As the only intranet solution recommended by Google, LumApps fully integrates with G Suite.
Draw.io has proven itself to be an easy and intuitive tool, quickly adopted by users, who often use it to collaborate.
LumApps is committed to providing the best user experience and our product strives to improve employee collaboration.
As such, draw.io fits perfectly with our philosophy, so it made sense to enhance our platform’s user experience by integrating this tool.
David Benson, co-founder of draw.io said of our partnership:
I love the initiative LumApps have shown by integrating draw.io into their tool. They performed the entire integration with no assistance and asked for feedback on how to improve it. I couldn’t a single problem with it. We both have large user bases in the G Suite ecosystem and considerably customer overlap. The two products complement each other perfectly and I know our joint users will enjoy the productivity gain and the way vendors can work together so everyone wins. Bravo Lumapps!
